Remember, Remember, How I Love November?!

Hey Everybody! I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving Week! We sure did! It is always great to spend time with family and friends (and catch up on homework too). The people I work for gave us some yummy veggies and raspberries before they left on thanksgiving vacation. Here's a picture of one of yummy salad creations. I don't think I've had a raspberry since I lived in PA and could pick wild ones. These were so delicious!
Thanksgiving day we spend at our dear Auntie's house with Jared's family. It was so much fun to see everyone and the food was great too!
Here's a picture of Cecil, since the picture above got the back of his head. It was so much fun to have thanksgiving with him and Auntie, and it was especially funny to hear the two of them bicker and tease each other (as siblings do).
On Black Friday we spend the day up at my sister Janel's, in her beautiful new apartment! Here's a picture of Heidi and Kate chatting before dinner.
 Janel- the fabulous cook!
Henry- the Wassail and Deviled-Egg Guy ;-)
Oh yes, and the main course- turkey breast with sausage stuffing, wrapped in bacon! It was awesome- to say the least! Great Job Janel on this meat-tastic meal!
Jared- the handsome guy I married
Janel- and her Gingerbread Masterpiece! Oh yes, I forgot to tell you we made Gingerbread houses after dinner! We had a blast!
Henry and Kate- working on their house- which was the mansion of all the Gingerbreads!
Janel and Jared laughing......You had to have been there.
And Me.....gazing at our Ginger-Dream-House, with a lopsided roof - hehe
Our Gingerbread house!- Don't the gummy bears kind of look like Christmas lights?
 All done!
Oh, and here is a picture of the backs- we all have pretzel rows!
After making Gingerbread houses, we went home and I felt like decorating for Christmas! And I made snowflakes to put on our walls!
Our Christmas Shrine in our room, oh man, silly yes, Christmas-y, yes!
Merry-less-than-a-month-away-from-Christmas Everyone!!!

10 Reasons Why I LOVE October!

1. The leaves start to change
2. Apple Cider
3. I get to put my cute Halloween Decoration out
4. General Conference
5. The Weather is awesome
6. Hay rides
7. Orange Halloween Oreos
8. My Birthday!
9. School is about 1/2 way over
10. Halloween

So far it's been a great October at the Weed House! Yesterday was my birthday so Jared put together a Beer Party in honor of my 21st birthday. We had root, apple, ginger, and birch beer- cake- and vanilla ice-cream (for Root Beer floats of course). Being members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we believe in the Word of Wisdom (Doctrine & Covenant 89), so we don't drink but we still had fun with that cultural norm. It was a great birthday, and Jared and I had a great time visiting with family --- not to mention all my awesome birthday gifts! I am one spoiled girl! Here's a picture of our birthday spoils!
Happy October Everybody!

Kickin' back with the Family- Colorado Style

Jared and I had an awesome time at our very first Weed Family Reunion! The best part was just being with family and spending time together. If only we lived in the 23rd Century and could travel at the speed of light......or if only magic was real and we could just use some good ol' flume powder....or even better, did I hear someone say PORT KEYS????.....Golly, if any of these existed, we could just visit Family all the time!!! How sweet would that be.....(wishful thinking....sigh.....) Nevertheless, I LOVE family reunions! So here goes my Colorado Adventure Summary (picture book style).....

We slid down little kid slides......
And we even slid down a WHOLE MOUNTAIN!!!
 We sat on Santa's sleigh...
Went on some cool walking trails....

At times we felt a little crazy.....
But most the time, we just felt like giving crazy kisses!
And even crazier kisses!
  We saw beautiful mountains.
  Rode on a Christmas tree.....
Got stuck between a rock in a hard place.....
 Marveled at the beauty.
And sometimes we were a little..... disheveled.
We saw rock climbers.....
And even did some rock climbing of our own.....
We even went to the Denver Temple together!

We turned Dottie into a Mermaid
And Elliot into a Swamp People!

We rode on the Happy Train...

And even ventured into the Jungle!

We picked an Indian's nose.....

Ate some awesome ice-cream!

Played with happy babies.....

And even kept it cool at Hammond's Candy Factory.

Which we were all excited about...

We saw a spooky HOtel....

And some other shocking things....

And Elliot got a coon hat!

And Baby Ruby....she was everybody's little gem- that we all liked to hold and say.....
 "mmmmyyy preeeeciouss"

We saw Rocky Mountains...

And we threw rocks.

Made crazy faces....

Ate yummy food!

And hung out with cool dudes!

Yep- That pretty much sums it up! It was an awesome Family Reunion! Oh, but I did forget one thing-----WATER WORLD------Yep....do I need to say any more? You're probably so jealous already you can't stand it, so I'll just stop there with this blog post.

Peace.
